After the Wave is before the Wave: The starting signal for the preparations of the Spring Wave 2021 has been given even earlier this time. We started selecting and - where possible - configuring the current laptop models right after the Fall Wave closed at the beginning of October. As the topic of deliverability is still very much on the agenda, we wanted to place the pre-orders for HP and Lenovo laptop models as early as possible in order to ensure the best possible availability.

Some of the laptop models have already been presented in the Fall Wave 2020, but we've also added some brand new models that weren't introduced until late 2020 or at CES.

HP and Lenovo

There will be seven laptop models each from HP and Lenovo in the lineup. The laptop models are configured to cover as many fields of study as possible with the corresponding hardware requirements. As usual, you can choose between the Swiss and US International keyboards for all models. For the two Lenovo workstations, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 and ThinkPad P15 Gen 1, you can choose between pre-installed Linux and Windows. 

We have placed larger pre-orders for all laptop models. We expect the first deliveries starting in calendar week 7. As always, we will continuously reorder sufficient quantities of laptops and inform you via email and blog about the expected delivery times. At the moment, we expect an average delivery time of four to twelve weeks for reorders.

Apple and Microsoft

As usual, you will be able to order all Apple MacBooks (all configurations, colors and keyboard languages) this fall at the same 15% discount off the Apple price. Apple delivery varies, expect longer delivery times for MacBook Pro 13 and MacBook Air models with the M1 chip, but our recommended configurations will be readily available. For Apple configurations that are not in stock when ordered, delivery time can be four to eight weeks.

Only those Surface configurations and accessories that are in stock are available in the Microsoft Store. Ordered Surface products are shipped immediately after payment. If a model is not in stock in the meantime, it will not be displayed at all. Please understand if the Type Cover or the pen is not available in your desired color, we cannot influence the stock levels of the Microsoft Store. 

Check your inbox regularly and don't hesitate to get in touch

As a student or generally as a private person you can only order against prepayment. This means that your order will be accepted, but the laptop will not be ordered for you until the payment is received. If you pay via credit card, this is immediately the case, if you pay via bank transfer within 72 hours and if you take your time with the invoice, it will take longer. The indicated delivery time is valid from receipt of payment, i.e. only if you pay immediately. If the payment arrives significantly after the order, then the new delivery time of the corresponding key date applies.

Also important: check the mailbox registered for the order regularly, check the spam mailbox right after the order and enter our email address and that of the distributor in the address book. We will contact you via email if necessary, you will receive all information about the expected delivery time via email.

As always, we are in close contact with manufacturers and distributors. We have learned during the last year to be patient and to be prepared for fluctuations in delivery times. We usually inform about the expected delivery date every two weeks. Didn't you receive any information or did the delivery time of your laptop change and you can't wait that long? Please contact us! We always try to find the best solution for you. If we can't do anything about the delivery time, you are welcome to borrow a laptop at the Help Point for free to bridge the waiting time.
