Our offer and delivery times in the fall semester 2022

After two rather troublesome years with long delivery times and unreliable supply chains, the PC industry seems to be slowly recovering. In contrast to past sales waves, this time we already have a large amount of devices in stock at the start and many more will be delivered in September. At Apple, the supply situation is difficult, especially for the new MacBook Air with M2 processor, but here, too, many devices can be delivered in the next few weeks. 

Good deliverability and increased prices

It's important for us to say it up front: the improved deliverability of hardware as well as the increased prices do not only affect us, but the entire market. 

Thanks to our direct and close contact with the manufacturers, we always select the laptop models on offer very early and order individual Projekt Neptun configurations. Pre-orders in large quantities are placed as early as possible, as was the case this spring, as we prepared ourselves for delivery times of several months. However, delivery times have recovered to the point that we can currently expect about 4-6 weeks from order to stock receipt. This is almost equivalent to the usual CTO (configure to order) delivery time before Corona.

The second fact that the entire hardware market has been confronted with is the rising prices. This was already apparent a year ago. Currently, price increases of 15 to 20 percent, depending on the manufacturer and laptop model, are the fact. Despite the good discounts you get from us, we can't avoid general price increases. As always, we have tried to cover as many price points as possible with different hardware configurations for the current offer, so that there is something for every budget and all requirements.

Apple

As usual, our offer includes all MacBook Pro and Air models at 15% off, iPads at 8% off, and all Mac models at 13% off. Delivery time varies greatly depending on the model. Since many configurations are available, we recommend that you check directly with the distributor's online store to see if your desired item is in stock in the correct color.

MacBook Pro models vary in availability depending on the configuration. The recommended configurations, with the exception of the MacBook Air M2, are in stock in large quantities. For devices that are not in stock and therefore have to be reordered, a delivery period of 1-3 months applies. The new MacBook Air models with the M2 processor are unfortunately not available from stock. First deliveries will be in the second half of September, with further subsequent deliveries in October. iPads are currently rather poorly available. Our partner DQ Solutions AG still has various models in stock, but deliveries are pending for some variants. Here, too, the current availability can be seen after logging into the online store of our distribution partner.

HP & Lenovo

All HP and Lenovo laptop models are equipped with 12th generation Intel processors or 5th and 6th generation AMD processors. The offered models are brand new. We have placed large pre-orders for all models, so many HP and Lenovo laptop models are already in stock. Further deliveries are expected in the coming weeks and the last pre-orders should arrive in week 41. In addition, some laptop models from both manufacturers are still available from the past sales waves, which are very interesting among other things because of the significant price increase.

Microsoft

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and Surface Go 3 are also on sale this fall. Additionally, we have officially added the Surface Laptop Studio to the offer. This laptop model qualifies with the unique combination of convertible and graphics card: it is the only pen-enabled laptop model that can be ordered with both a commercial and a professional graphics card. This means that students of technical subjects who work with CAD no longer have to do without handwritten notes or purchase a second device to record their lecture notes digitally.

It is important to know that we have the business variants of the Surface devices on offer. Surface for Business devices are equipped with Windows 11 Pro instead of Home. In addition, the warranty is valid internationally and the handling is much more convenient than with the Surface devices for private users. The Microsoft offer is now ordered through our HP and Lenovo distribution partner. This adjustment has unfortunately led to delays in the ordering process, so that Microsoft Surface will only be available in the second half of the sales period. You can choose to be notified via email as soon as it is available for order.

Samsung Tablets, Mobile & Smartwatch

The Samsung offer includes tablets, mobile devices and smartwatches. You buy from the manufacturer's own online store and the delivery times are given for each item.

The discount is 15% on the entire range. In addition to the discount, with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8, 8+, and 8 Ultra you get the Book Cover Keyboard, as well as a 65W power adapter with three ports for free (pens are included with all Samsung tablets). You also get goodies when you buy smartphones; here, you get the Buds2 and a Wireless Charger Trio in black for free. When you buy the Watch5, you get the Buds Live in black for free.

Dell and LG Monitors

The current Dell monitors are also pre-ordered in large quantities and some are already available from stock.  Our two distributors DQ Solutions AG and Computacenter TS GmbH both have access to the same warehouse, which means that the delivery times are the same for both dealers. New in the offer are two LG monitors, which are only compatible with Apple.

Accessories

Printers, audio products, pen tablets from Wacom, various Logitech accessories and 3Dconnexion products are mostly available from stock. You can also find a comprehensive range of accessories from HP and Lenovo in the corresponding online store: All compatible items are displayed with the respective laptop model. All Apple accessories are also available in the online store of the distribution partner.
