Lenovo Neptun HP

In the meantime, practically all universities are going paperless. In order to get through your study day with only your laptop, we offer you five convertibles from HP and Lenovo for sale in the current Neptun Spring Wave, which range in price from CHF 995.- to CHF 1'995.-. If you need some help deciding, read on here!

We have two laptop models in the lower price range, one each from HP and Lenovo. Due to their features, these are excellent for students who have to watch their budget but still don't want to miss out on a good quality device.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 is our 13.3" entry-level convertible. Don't let the price fool you: You get all the features of a ThinkPad here, such as the solid build, the excellent keyboard and the iconic TrackPoint, but also the stylus that retracts into the case (which is thus always charged and ready to go) and a handy document scanner in the form of a world-facing camera. Lenovo Premier Support with a 3-year onsite warranty is the icing on the cake.

The 13.3" HP ProBook x360 435 G7 is HP's entry into the world of convertibles and offers a strong price-performance ratio thanks to the eight-core CPU from AMD. It also impresses with its high-quality build and the practical loop for storing the battery-powered pen. If you want to install a bigger or faster SSD or expand the RAM in a few years, you can easily do so on this laptop, unlike many other devices.

If you don't want to settle for the basic equipment and the device's smaller weight or a rechargeable pen are worth the higher price to you, for example, we advise you to take a look at the following device: HP EliteBook x360 830 G8. HP's mid-range convertible is a bit slimmer and lighter than the ProBook. Particularly noteworthy is the matte 13.3-inch screen, which is very rare for convertibles. This makes working outside in sunny weather or in a brightly lit office possible without any problems, and the rough surface provides a more paper-like writing feel when writing or drawing with the included pen (rechargeable via USB-C). The pen can be magnetically attached to the case.

The premium convertibles are very well-equipped models with high-quality builds that impress with their particularly compact dimensions, very good battery runtimes, and low weight. Lenovo's premium convertible is the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga Gen 1: Thanks to its titanium-magnesium casing, it is light and thin, yet powerful and optionally available with mobile Internet. It also gives you a crisp, high-resolution 13.5" screen in a 3:2 aspect ratio for more verticality - ideal for those who often work with text or want to scroll less. You can easily attach the battery-powered stylus magnetically to the case.

You don't have to make any compromises with the EliteBook x360 1040 G8, HP's premium conertible: The matte 14" screen is larger than usual for most convertibles; however, the device can keep up with the masses of 13.3" devices thanks to its slim design and narrow screen bezel. And with the titanic battery, you can expect up to two full workdays of battery life here without any negative impact on the weight. The USB-C rechargeable stylus is magnetically attached to the case. The EliteBook x360 1040 G8 is also available with cellular internet, so working on trains and outdoors is no obstacle.

Both premium models offer a lot of added value, not only in terms of processor performance and plenty of storage space, they leave nothing to be desired in terms of mobile working. If you are willing to invest in a high-quality work device and do not want to do without convenient features, then the premium convertibles are the right choice for you.

Convertibles are still suitable for non-technical fields of study. Computationally intensive fields of study are no problem, since the processor performance is the main factor here. However, if you are studying a subject that has high demands on graphics or you regularly use corresponding software (CAD, professional video editing) and want to always be able to rely on your laptop, we recommend switching to or adding a tablet for lecture notes.
